Whelping Box Hire
Based in Edinburgh, we provide whelping box hire for all dog breeders across Scotland, with a range of sizes available to suit different breeds. All our boxes are designed to offer maximum safety, comfort, and peace of mind throughout the whelping process. Each box is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between hires to help ensure the health and wellbeing of both mum and her puppies until they are ready to leave for their forever homes.
Whelping Box Hire Information
Collection
Collection of your chosen whelping box is available from us in Edinburgh at an agreed time.
Delivery
Delivery can be arranged within approximately 40–50 miles of Edinburgh for an additional charge. Delivery costs will depend on distance and will be confirmed when booking.
Setup Service
If required, we can deliver and set up the whelping box in your property for an additional charge, so it is assembled and ready for mum and her puppies.
Hire Period
All whelping boxes have a minimum hire period of 4 weeks. We recommend having your box collected, delivered or set up approximately 1 week before the puppies are due, allowing mum time to become familiar and comfortable with it before whelping.
Refundable Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required at the start of the hire. The deposit amount is shown against each individual box. Once the box has been returned, it will be inspected and, provided it has been returned in the agreed condition, the deposit will be refunded.
Cleaning & Hygiene
Every whelping box is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between hires, ready for the next mum and litter.
Please Note...
Whelping boxes are subject to availability and we recommend booking in advance, particularly if you require a specific box for your expected due date.
Your chosen whelping box will be reserved once the required refundable deposit has been received. Until the deposit has been paid, we cannot guarantee availability of a particular box.
Delivery, setup and collection arrangements must be agreed in advance. Where delivery or setup is required, any additional costs will be confirmed before your booking is finalised.
The hirer is responsible for the whelping box throughout the hire period. If the box or any of its components are damaged during the hire, please let us know as soon as possible.
At the end of the hire period, the box will be inspected following its return or collection. Your deposit will then be refunded provided the box and its components have been returned in the agreed condition.
